The Wildfires

Screeching guitars, fiery vocals and roaring riffs. If that’s what you’re after, The Wildfires are the band for you. With colourful classic rock, combined with strong blues and funk influences, this rock band will deliver a captivating live experience at Poppodium Corneel on Friday 11 September.

The Wildfires are a young rock band formed in Alkmaar, consisting of four 18-year-old, passionate musicians. In the two years since the band started performing, these very young rockers have taken countless stages and pubs by storm. The Wildfires have drawn inspiration from the classic rock sounds of the 1970s and 1990s and, drawing on influences from bands such as Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, have developed their own distinctive sound. With screeching guitars, powerful grooves and swinging melodies, they were crowned the glorious winners of Popmania 2025 and are proving that classic rock is still going strong!
