Various locations in Flevoland
T / m 18 April
This year, Flevoland Province, together with Sportservice Flevoland and Visit Flevoland, is introducing something new to make things even easier for cyclists: Bike Break Points. These are locations where cyclists can catch their breath, inflate their tyres or make minor repairs to their bikes, take shelter from the sun, wind or rain and enjoy the landscape in peace and quiet. You can also tap water and use a toilet, and a first aid kit is available. Some locations also have a charger for electric bike batteries and an AED (defibrillator).

In addition, each Fietspauzepunt is interesting to visit anyway while cycling through Flevoland. For example, one is a campsite with a playground, the next introduces you to agricultural Flevoland and our regional products, and yet another has a restaurant, where you can grab a bite to eat and a drink along the way.
On Saturday 18 April, the first thirteen Fietspauze Points in Flevoland will hold an open day, so you can get to know both the facilities placed from Flevoland province and the recreational locations themselves. So come along, by bike or other transport. On this page, you will find an overview of all Fietspauzepunten in Flevoland. In brief, they are:
- Camping Waterhout, Almere
- Indoor Mountain Bike, Almere
- Farmers Pitstop. Zeewolde
- Civic farm Oosterwold, Zeewolde
- Wijngoed Wilgenhorst, Zeewolde
- Hans & Grietje play park & pancake house, Zeewolde

Because of the opening, fun activities will be organised at various cycle break points.
- At B&B De Kandelaar, which is located on the tulip route, for example, you will find a mini-market with tulip gadgets from 10:00 to 17:00. Furthermore, you can get coffee/tea and cake there and they give guided tours of the farm.
- At Toms Creek, which also has Toms Breach and Care Farm De Huif at the same location, you can take part in guided tours and a covered wagon ride between 10:00 and 16:00 and learn about fishing. There will also be an alpaca shearer, you can have your picture taken on a horse and Toms Beach will be opened this day.
- At Fruitbedrijf Van Rijn, the opening will take place at 10:00 with coffee and apple pie. In addition, you can take a walk through the orchard here.
- At Burgerboerderij Oosterwold, the farm shop is open, there is a tulip route in the yard and you can pick your own bouquet. At the farm shop, you will benefit from discounts and a special offer.
- At Indoor Mountainbike Almere, you can visit for a tour of the new shop, information on mountain biking with a small practice course. It also gives you free coffee when you buy apple pie and you can visit the alpacas (from a distance). The workshop on the practice trail will be available from 11:30 a.m. due to children's classes before that.
- For a short break while cycling, get off at Camping Waterhout for a cup of coffee with a mini-tompouce. The perfect stopover to recover and then continue enjoying your route.
- Will you drop by Hans & Gretel on 18 April between 10am and 3pm? Then take a selfie with your bike and Hans & Gretel in the background, show it inside at the ticket office and score a witch's coin that you can exchange for something sweet at the Candy Tower.
- Plop down on the large bench of pumping doors during a unique stopover at Farmers Pitstop in the cow pasture. At the picnic area, bake yourself a fresh waffle. A nice big one, to share (or not). You can also enjoy something else delicious for the first time that day - something new that they are letting you taste for the first time. But what that is, they are keeping that a secret for now.... But there is much more that will surprise you during this hospitable reception. Cuddle the cows. Take a peek in the maternity hotel to see if a calf is born. Or let the farmer's wife show you around the dairy farm via the audio tour.
