During the rutting season, red deer go in search of does. The stags compete for the does, the females. The largest and strongest red deer try to attract as many females as possible and defend their herd. Are there rivals nearby? Then the impressive bellowing can be heard. Experience this spectacle up close at Lelystad Nature Park.
The excursions take place from 26 September to 11 October. On weekdays, these are walking tours, whilst at the weekend they are electric vehicle tours. During this walking tour, you’ll set off in a group of up to 20 people, led by an expert guide, in search of the bellowing stags.
