With the eco-car through the Oostvaardersplassen - Lelystad

Outdoor centre Oostvaardersplassen

Hop in the eco-cart and explore the Oostvaardersplassen with a guide from the Forestry Commission. This excursion starts on the Almere side of the area. Aboard the eco-car, you will look for the birds and other inhabitants of this area. Along the way, the guide will tell you about the origins and development of this vast marshland. Each time, it will be a surprise what you will encounter along the way, as nature is unpredictable.

Package

This excursion can be extended with lunch at the restaurant of Buitencentrum Oostvaardersplassen in Lelystad. Depending on the time of the excursion, lunch will be served before or after.

Practical information:

  • Don't wear conspicuous wind- and waterproof clothing and don't use perfume

  • Bring your binoculars or rent one at the outdoor centre

  • Accessible...
