Soldier in resistance - The story

On Friday evening 5 February 1943, a man rings the doorbell at the house of Hendrik Seyffardt, commander of the Dutch SS Volunteer Legion. Seyffardt, a former lieutenant general, opens the door himself. After several gunshots, he dies of his injuries the next day. Jan Verleun, 23, has thus completed his mission, but the hunt for him has begun. Verleun - who had already fought against German troops during the invasion of the Netherlands in 1940 - continued to fight with resistance group CS-6 after the capitulation, where he sabotaged the Nazis with numerous missions. With Soldaat in Verzet (Soldier in Resistance), based on the book by Do du Preez-Verleun and Pauline Wesselink, actors Soy Kroon and Thomas Cammaert tell the story of Jan's life-threatening struggle against the occupiers.
